Set The Goal. Then Tell us.

Let’s talk about goals.
When I was back in 2015 I set the goal, publicly (to my family) that I wanted to deadlift over 200. Sounds silly now, all those years ago, but it really helped.
Then over Christmas, my brother gave me book which was geared towards just building strength. Great! I’d follow the program, and supplement it with CrossFit. It worked. Within 10 weeks I was significantly stronger and I managed to PB my fight gone bad score by a huge margin. This was progress.
Later I went to the next phase, which actually one of our members is following right now as we speak. By this point I’d also persuaded Lydia and my brother to follow it with me (for the first part as she was pregnant with our second and still getting stronger!)
This where the weight went up and I started seeing serious progress towards lifting over 200. In fact when I test a rep max, it was clear I could have done it much sooner.
In the end, it was logical after 6 months strength training that I’d be able to add 25kg+ to the lift and pull over 200. Once I finally did it, in fact it was an anticlimax.
Actually I realised that achieving the goal, was less important than setting it and working towards it.
Once I’d achieved it, it has formed a base of my strength ever since.
So the moral is, set the goal. Tell us about it. Then we will help you achieve it.
If you don’t tell anyone, then no one will be able to help.
What’s your goal? What do you want to work towards? Then we know.
Right now, it’s our goal, to know each one of your focus’ so we can go beyond just delivering sessions, and help you actually experience the high of seeing something which you hope to achieve actually become totally and utterally possible.
That comes from work. But it also comes from focus.
So, what is it?
